SAILING in Fall 2025
This was an unusual day as I was the only boat on the lake till a lone sloop appeared through the haze, sailing towards me from the East end of the lake. It was laid over at 30 degrees for most of the time. I had no desire to work that hard so chose to close reach across the West end of the lake. The day started with a double reefed main and slightly rolled up jib, sailing at 5+ knots. Winds were at 20 knots, gusting to 40. It was fun sailing through the williwaws coming over the hill since a couple of times Panache peaked at 8 knots, which really surprised me. After a few hours of this my buddy from the sail club joined me which is when these photos we taken. Enjoy.
