Merc 75 Outboard Electrical Connection - Connect to Boat Battery.
 

ELECTRICAL UNDER COWLING (1988) - The red battery wire is shown at right.  The black ground wire is just barely visible below, connected to the case behind the kill switch.  These are not factory wires.  They replaced the previous oil soaked Mercury wires. 

Shown below is the other end of those electrical wires that plug into the power connector I installed on Panache's transom.
